Getting started
Searching using the query box is easy, but there are a few things you need to know. As a general rule, word order will affect the result of your search. Therefore, for a simple search, enter your character string. See example below. It is not necessary to enclose the character string in quotation marks.
NOTE: It is possible to carry out a successful search without entering an entire official government name or generic name in the query box.
EXAMPLE: Let's say you are searching for an advisory committee dealing with aboriginal postsecondary education, but you are not sure of the exact name of the committee. Since you are sure that the string "Aboriginal Postsecondary Education" is part of the official government name, this is all you should enter in the query box. The search results will include the committee you are looking for, i.e., the "Advisory Committee on Aboriginal Postsecondary Education".
