Browsing an index once you have made your setting selections
Once you have made your setting selections on the ONTERM Index page, click on the Browse Index button. The letter groupings appearing at the top of each index results page are called "anchors". These anchors follow a 3-letter system similar to the entries at the top of dictionary pages (e.g., NAP-NIA, NIA-NOR, NOR-NUT, for the letter N). All anchors for one letter are on the same page. To go to a specific spot in the alphabetical order, click on the corresponding anchor.
EXAMPLE: To browse English index entries starting with the character string "freedom of information", click on the anchor "FRA-FUT" on the index results page for the letter F.

NOTE: The index results pages for certain letters have several identical anchors; e.g., "BUR-BUR" is repeated several times on the French index results page for the letter B. This is due to a technical limitation of the ONTERM indexes feature, whereby no more than 100 index entries can be grouped together under a single anchor. If you come to a page with several identical anchors, you will have to use the trial and error method to determine under which anchor the entry that interests you is actually located. It may then be faster to carry out a search using the query box on the ONTERM Search page.
